More Important Than Ever To Eat And Shop Local, Support North Bend Businesses

The shift in weather this first week of Fall was a stark reminder that with cooler and wetter weather, local businesses will have less outdoor dining and shopping space available to compensate for indoor capacity restrictions related to the coronavirus pandemic.

Thriving local businesses are a key component to our community – and so it’s more important than ever to Eat Local and Shop Local this Fall and Winter. It’s easy to support valley businesses. The City’s website has a current List of Open Businesses – bookmark it for easy access to local businesses operating hours.

Make it Fun! Create a family tradition and pick a local restaurant each week to support. Break out of your routine and commit to trying new food. North Bend has a large variety of restaurants to help discover your inner ‘foodie.’

If you don’t feel like dining in, grab take out or delivery. Local restaurants are making it easier than ever to pick up your order. Explore their websites and see what options are available – some will directly deliver to you, some may use outsourced delivery services.

Why drive out of the city if you can do it here? North Bend has ample options to cover your needs. We’ve got it all: bakery and bike shops, grocery stores, hair and nail salons, clothing and gift shops, dentists and doctors, barbers, landscape supplies, massage therapists, nurseries, pet supplies and more.

Save gas. Keep it local. Get to know your North Bend businesses owners – many of whom are also local residents – and love supporting our community.

And don’t forget – the holiday season is just two months away. Holiday shopping is another opportunity to support local. North Bend businesses are ready to help you with great gift ideas. Gift cards are also a convenient option and will provide those on your list a chance to come out and explore North Bend when it’s time to use that gift card.
