Meet your Local Officers as ‘Coffee with a Cop’ comes to North Bend, October 3rd

The Snoqualmie Police Department is offering residents a chance to get to know their local officers, ask a questions or two, share concerns… or maybe just say hello during their latest installment of Coffee with Cop.

The department’s popular community initiative happens Wednesday morning at iconic Twede’s Cafe in North Bend from 8AM – 10AM.  SPD says it will be buying the coffee, too!

Coffee with a Cop, which started as a nationwide initiative in 2011, was designed to open the door for interactions between law enforcement officers and community members outside of crisis situations that typically bring them together. The program was also expanded to Canada, Europe, Australia, and Africa.

The Snoqualmie Police Department which serves the cities of North Bend and Snoqualmie rolled out the event in November 2017. At that time SPD Chief Perry Phipps said,  “This is what having a cup of coffee is all about – it’s the conversation and fellowship with others that make the coffee more enjoyable.”

October 3rd is also National Coffee with a Cop Day.
