This last summer, the city began construction on the Meadowbrook Sewer Utility Local Improvement District (ULID) project, expanding public sewer to the western portion of North Bend. Following a pause due to winter weather, crews from Northwest Construction are returning to work on May 18.
Beginning on Monday, crews will continue working along:
- State Route 202/Bendigo Boulevard near Tollgate Farm Park
- NW 14th Street
- Boalch Avenue
Traffic impacts will be limited to shoulder and lane closures Mondays through Fridays, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. The city anticipates the project to be complete by Friday, July 31.
Approximately 80 percent of residents are currently connected to public sewer, with about 20 percent remaining on private septic drain fields. Once complete, the new connections will provide property owners with development opportunities that align with city zoning.
