Local student design becomes new Marijuana Use Prevention Poster

The Snoqualmie Valley Community Network, in collaboration with the Washington State Department of Health, announced the winner of the Youth Marijuana Use Prevention Slogan and Poster Design Challenge: Mount Si High School student, Nicolas Marrero.

Nicolas, a 9th grader in Mr. Dockery’s Introduction to Digital Media course, will be recognized for his design at the Rise and Shine Volunteer Recognition Breakfast on Tuesday, June 6th. He will be awarded a $100 prize, and his poster will be distributed throughout East King County as part of the youth marijuana use prevention campaign.

Marrero’s poster, which features the slogan, “Draw Your Own Path,” will become a part of the Snoqualmie Valley Community Network’s efforts to prevent substance abuse in children and promote kids in grades 4-12 be safe healthy,and successful.
