Letter | As Snoqualmie Valley Hospital looks to partner, merge, citizen forum keeps you informed

Snoqualmie Valley Community:

Recently the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital started the process to partner or merge with a larger hospital or healthcare provider. This is something that most, if not all, Critical Access Hospitals are doing nationwide in order to insure continued stability while providing better service. In the case of many CAHs including SVH, affiliation also means debt management.

The fourth of five planning meetings for the Affiliation RFP is set for 6PM on Wednesday May 24th at the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital, with a Public Hearing scheduled the following Tuesday, May 30th at Snoqualmie City Hall.

Even though I’ve moved from the area, as a former Director of the Hospital Foundation I’ve remained involved and most recently launched a citizen involvement website and Facebook page. If you’d like to become informed, get involved and participate, please check out the SV Hospital Forum at bit.ly/svhforum and bit.ly/fb-svhforum .
