Letter | Citizen Academy: up Close, one-of-a-kind Way to Learn about City

Dear Editor and Residents,

I would like to cordially invite Snoqualmie residents and business owners to participate in the 2016 Annual Snoqualmie Citizens Academy. The Citizens Academy is a one-of-a-kind, in-depth and up-close way to become informed and active in the city government process.

This free course will help our citizens understand how city government works, the ins and outs of city operations, and how they can become more involved.

Over the past 10 years, more than 200 Snoqualmie citizens have graduated from this informative, fun, and informal course led by our city directors.

Learn how city tax dollars are spent, the future of development in Snoqualmie, recent successes, and upcoming challenges. There is a Saturday session at the Police Department that is highly interactive!

I encourage citizens to call me to hear more about how much they’ll get out of the course and how much fun it can be.

Sincerely,

Jodi Warren, City Clerk

  • My wife attended the Citizen’s Academy shortly after we moved to Snoqualmie in 2010. She and I highly recommend the academy to all Snoqualmie residents. The insight into city government, its various department, financial/budgeting issues, etc. is highly informative.
