Late-night westbound SR 18 closure near Tiger Mountain this Thursday

For late-night drivers who use westbound State Route 18 near Tiger Mountain, you will need to plan extra time this Thursday, Aug. 18, as a detour will be in place overnight.

Starting at 11 p.m., contractor crews working for WSDOT will close access to westbound SR 18 between Issaquah-Hobart Road Southeast to just south of Interstate 90. They will reopen westbound lanes the next morning at 4 a.m., Friday, Aug. 19. Workers will be conducting pavement repair just south of the Tiger Mountain trailhead parking lot.

Detour
From I-90, you can access westbound SR 18 by taking the Front Street exit and heading south. Front Street turns into Issaquah-Hobart Road Southeast, and from there, you can get back to westbound SR 18.

This work is connected to the Northwest Region Emergency Pavement Repair project, which spans four counties and 88 locations in the Northwest region. Construction for the entire project is expected to be complete by April 2023.
