Late Night Car vs. Motorcycle Fatality Accident Blocks Westbound Highway 18

At approximately 11:40 pm on August 19th, the Washington State Patrol responded to a jeep vs. motorcycle accident on Westbound Highway 18 near the Tiger Mountain Summit.

A tan Jeep Patriot and a black Harley Davidson were traveling westbound when the motorcycle struck the jeep from behind at a high rate of speed.

The jeep came to rest in the roadway, and both the driver and passenger were ejected from the motorcycle coming to rest on the right side of the roadway.

Both motorcycle riders were wearing helmets, but unfortunately, the 40-year-old female passenger was deceased at the scene.

The 39-year-old male motorcycle driver was transported to Harborview Hospital. Drugs and/or alcohol were said to be involved.

The Roadway was blocked for 3 hours and 55 minutes.
