Updated: Late Afternoon Saturday House Fire on Snoqualmie Ridge

Final Update 7:10 PM: According to Snoqualmie Fire Chief Mark Correira, fire crews responded to a structure fire late this afternoon on the Ridge.

Snoqualmie Fire, Fall City Fire, Eastside Fire and Bellevue Fire were dispatched at 3:55 PM to a house on fire on SE Salal Steet. Crews arrived in six minutes to find heavy fire on the alley side of the structure.

The fire was coming from the garage and burning up the house into the second floor and into the attic. Crews quickly applied water to knock the fire down and located the homeowner who let them know that no one was inside the house.

Once additional resources arrived on the scene the firefighters were able to go inside the house to confirm no one was in the house and to extinguish any fire.

According to Lieutenant Matt West, many of the doors were closed inside the house which prevented the spread of fire throughout the living space. Crews remain on scene.

The fire will be investigated by the King County Sherriff Office’s Fire Investigation Unit, and the City Building Official will restrict access until repairs are made. No one was injured or killed in this incident

At the height of the incident, a total of 27 firefighters were on the scene including 3 chief officers, an EMS Supervisor, a ladder truck and multiple fire engines. No firefighters were injured
