Update: Snoqualmie Pass Scheduled to Re-open at 8 PM

Update 4:20 PM: I-90 remains closed between North Bend at milepost 34 to Ellensburg at milepost 106 and is scheduled to reopen to traffic at 8 p.m.

Due to power outages across the pass, there is reduced access to traffic cameras.

Update 9:08 AM: Due to heavy snowfall, poor visibility & avalanche danger west of the summit, I-90 will remain closed between North Bend (MP 34) to Ellensburg (MP 106). An update will be provided at 5 p.m.

I-90 remains closed from N. Bend to Ellensburg. Crews are performing avalanche control.

The snow is coming down at a rate of 1-2 inches an hour. Nineteen inches of snow fell overnight.

 There is no estimated reopening, but status updates will be provided throughout the morning. 

US 12/White Pass is also closed due to slide danger and heavy snow. There is no estimated reopening for White Pass.

Chains were required for Tiger Mountain Summit early this morning. There are not required now but check conditions for heading out.

The Snoqualmie Valley School District is CLOSED today – Monday, January 3, 2022 – due to snow.  All school activities are canceled.  (This is an update from the 2-hour Late Start announced last night.)

Snoqualmie City Hall will be closed to the public for walk-in services January 3 due to new snowfall.

City services are available online, via email, and via phone. This includes utilities, business licensing, permitting, building inspections, and all other services provided to Snoqualmie residents and businesses.

According to PSE 472 Customers in Fall City are without power, 6 customers in North Bend, 1023 in Preston and 645 customers in Snoqualmie. Restoration times vary. Tanner Electric reports 4 customers without power.
