The King County Sheriff’s Office via their official Twitter feed announced shortly before 3PM, that their search and rescue helicopter had located missing hiker, Paula Reuter. Her condition was unknown at the time of the announcement. Reuter had been missing since Monday when she went on a hike with her two dogs near Snoqualmie Pass.
She was airlifted to Bandera Airfield off I-90 east of North Bend and according to a KIRO reporter she is “scratched up, tired, hungry and with her parents.”

The King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) is seeking information about a hiker who has not been heard from since the morning of October 6, 2014. The hiker is identified as 21-year old, Paula Reuter, a Seattle restaurant manager who was hiking with her two black and white dogs in the Mason Lake or Ira Springs trail area near Snoqualmie Pass.
Around 7PM on October 7th, the King County Sheriff’s Office and its Search and Rescue (SAR) volunteers were notified about the hiker, who has been missing since the morning of October 6th. Reuter is about 5’10” tall and 120 lbs, with brown hair.
KCSO Deputies and SAR teams began searching for the Reuter at approximately 7AM, Wednesday, October 8th. Her car was located at the Ira Springs trailhead, which also serves the Mason Lake trail.
Reuters family described her as someone who hikes a lot casually. The Sheriff’s Office also employed its Guardian 1 helicopter in the search once Wednesday’s fog cleared.
