If you live in the Snoqualmie Valley and are attending today’s Seahawks Super Bowl Champions Parade in downtown Seattle…. well, have you left 
yet? If not, get moving. Traffic heading into the city on westbound I-90 is backed up for miles.
As of 6:30AM, the streets in downtown Seattle were already becoming crowded. Yes, you read that correctly. Additionally, WSDOT and King County Metro reported that early morning bus routes into the city were already crowded.
According to Snoqualmie resident and Seahawks Human Resources Manager, Eric Heuston, only season ticket holders get into the Seahawks Rally at CenturyLink Field, as well as Blue Pride people. The Seahawks are NOT selling any general admission tickets to the historic rally, but some season ticket holders are selling their individual tickets. Large screens will be set up in the North Lot for everyone to watch who cannot get it.
Safeco Field is also opening up free of charge to anyone who wants to watch the rally on their huge new screens. No parking is available at the stadium and parade attendees are encouraged to take the bus. Yesterday, Eric said the City of Seattle is expecting upwards of a million people, although today the city is officially saying they expect at least half a million people to descend on the city for the parade.
Snoqualmie Valley Schools are open today, February 5th. According to a district e-blast last night:
“If parents choose to take their student(s) out of school Wednesday, they must follow standard protocols to inform their school’s attendance office with an email, note, or call to excuse their absence. This means that the parent knows the student won’t be in school that day and that they understand academics with continue on Wednesday in their absence. “
And finally – DRESS WARM! Temperatures are expected to hover near freezing all day with a cold northeasterly wind making it feel much colder.
The parade begins at 11AM and winds its way along 4th Ave to CenturyLink Field for the celebratory rally.
