Head-on Accident at SR 202 Intersection; Police Vehicle Severely Damaged by Deer Collison

Many locals call it a dangerous corner, the intersection of SR 202 and Boalch Ave near downtown North Bend, and Wednesday, June 17, 2015, it proved to be just that.

Around 5:10PM a head on collision was reported at the often busy intersection. Luckily, it appeared no one involved was seriously injured, although one of the cars appeared to have sustained serious damage when it attempted to pull onto SR 202 from Boalch Ave.

North Bend resident Danny Raphael said both Snoqualmie Police and Eastside Fire and Rescue responded to the scene and one witness near the collision said it appeared everyone was okay and standing along the roadside.  Police controlled traffic while the accident scene was cleared and reports were taken.

SR 202 changes from 50MPH to 30MPH, but not until after the Boalch intersection, just before the bridge over the South Fork of the Snoqualmie River near North Bend.
