Have a say in how North Bend develops: City seeks new Planning Commission Members

The City of North Bend announced last week that it is seeking applicants for multiple vacancies on the Planning Commission, with all open position terms set to expire on May 18, 2022.

The Planning Commission consists of seven members with terms of four years. It prepares and recommends coordinated plans, regulations and restrictions for the physical development of the City of North Bend. The Commission typically meets twice per month on Thursday evenings.

North Bend Municipal codes states that four commission members have to reside inside the city limits, but that three can reside in the 98045 zip code, which also includes unincorporated areas of the city.

The positions currently open can be filled by a citizen who resides either within the city limits or within the 98045 zip code.

The city is urging anyone interested in serving the community on this important Commission to submit an application to the City of North Bend, Attn: City Clerk, PO Box 896, North Bend, WA 98045. The deadline for submission is April 13, 2018.
