Grand Opening, Ribbon cutting ceremony for new North Bend City Hall happens September 5th

This Thursday, September 5th, the City of North Bend will celebrate the opening of its brand new City Hall starting at 4:30PM with a community grand opening.

The public is invited to the ceremony, which includes the ribbon cutting at 5PM, live music and tours of the interior.

According to North Bend Communications Manager Jill Green, Mayor Hearing and King County Councilmember Kathy Lambert will be speaking during the festivities and Snoqualmie Indian Tribe Chairman Bob de los Angeles will also be presenting a gift for the new City Hall.

Light refreshments will also be provided. North Bend City Hall is located at 920 SE Cedar Falls Way, between the North Bend Fire Station and Public
Works buildings.

The new [estimated] $6.5 million building now puts many departments – like City Administration, Finance, Community and Economic Development as well as Council Chambers – all under one roof.

SkyWard Construction built the new facility. It was paid for by a variety of sources, including Real Estate Excise Tax, city savings and the sale of the old city hall. The project took a little over one year to complete.
