Gone Fishing! Annual Kids Trout Derby happens this weekend

This is always a fun and very popular event for Snoqualmie Valley kids.  It’s also FREE!

The Kids’ Trout Derby – a free event hosted by the Mount Si Fish & Game Club to promote interest in the outdoors – happens this Saturday, May 6th from daylight to 10AM at the ponds right behind the Snoqualmie Police Department, 34825 S.E. Douglas Street.

Kids ages 5-14 may compete. For early rising parents and young anglers, there will be free coffee, donuts, and hot chocolate to help fuel you on.

Oh! There will also be prizes will be awarded to winners in different categories.

Trout Derby Details:

  • No registration is necessary
  • Children ages 5 to 14 may compete
  • Children under 5 may fish
  • There is a limit of two fish
  • Bring your own fishing tackle
  • Nets are not allowed
  • No dogs are allowed on site
