“Go Fish” at the Kids’ Trout Derby in Snoqualmie

The Annual Kids’ Trout Derby will be on May 6 from daylight to 10 am at the ponds behind the Snoqualmie Police Department, 34825 SE Douglas Street. 

This rain-or-shine event for kids ages 5 to 14 draws young participants for a morning of friendly competition and is hosted by the Mount Si Fish & Game Club to promote interest in the outdoors.

Kids aged 5 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult and will have their own pond.

Free coffee, donuts, and hot chocolate will fortify parents and young anglers alike. Kids should bring their own poles and gear. Raffle prizes are available for a $1 donation. 

Competition Details 

  • Children ages 5-14 may compete
  • Children under five may fish 
  • There is a limit of two fish
  • Bring your own fishing tackle
  • Nets are not allowed
  • No dogs are allowed on site

Prizes will be awarded to winners in different categories.

Parking

Parking options include east of the Police Station at the building next to the Police Officer parking lot and across the street at Safeway by the gas pumps.
