Gigantic Bike Festival Heading to Snoqualmie this Weekend; Riders, Campers, Live Music

If you notice lots of bikers heading through the Valley, zipping through the streets of downtown Snoqualmie, the sounds of live music AND multiple pop up tents at Centennial Fields this weekend, August 23rd-24th, it’s because The Gigantic Bike Festival is in town.

It’s billed as “the Pacific Northwest’s annual celebration of bicycle culture” and features a “diverse, multi-faceted and regionally representative mix of live music, hand-built bicycles, visual & performance art, film, comedy, guest speakers, sculpture and interactive installation pieces.”

Many attendees of The Gigantic Bike Festival will arrive by bike Saturday afternoon, August 23rd, after finishing 100 and 77 mile bike rides that start early in the morning at Seattle’s Magnuson Park.

Festival gates at Centennial Fields open at 11AM, August 23rd and close Sunday at 7PM, August 24th, with overnight camping passes being offered to riders and other attendees.

The City of Snoqualmie says it has not been updated (as of August 21st) as to how many attendees festival organizers are expecting.
