From Lattes to Late Fees: North Bend Hosts Two Community Meetups

North Bend residents will have two opportunities this month to meet with city leaders outside City Hall, whether over coffee or during a visit to the library.

The first takes place Wednesday, October 14, when Mayor Mary Miller will host a community meetup from 9 to 10 a.m. at Arete Coffee.

The gathering is intended to give residents an opportunity to discuss city-related topics, upcoming projects and other issues important to the community while sharing ideas and conversation with the mayor.

Later in the month, Police Chief Ed Hall will visit the North Bend Library on Tuesday, October 27, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

King County Library System staff will provide light refreshments during the event, which gives residents a chance to meet Hall and learn more about the North Bend Police Department. And, not to mention, it’s also a good opportunity to finally return those overdue library books.

According to the city, Hall plans to continue holding community engagement events monthly at local businesses and organizations, while Miller plans to host similar gatherings often throughout the community.

Information on these and other free community events can be found in the October edition of North Bend Neighbors.
