Found! Father and Son Missing near Snoqualmie Pass

As quickly as KCSO could report missing hikers, they were found.

Search and Rescue has confirmed voice contact with hikers missing since yesterday. Both are okay, but stuck in some cliffs southwest of Little Kulla Kulla Lake.

SAR is sending technical rescue team with ropes. No word that air support is needed yet.

King County Search and Rescue was  looking for a father son believed to be hiking near Mt. Defiance, west of Snoqualmie Pass. Henning and Paul Braess are experienced hikers visiting from Germany, but are unfamiliar with the local area.

The King County Sheriff’s Office said the two went on a day hike on May 26th and did not return. Patrol found their rental car at the Mason Lake/Ira Spring trailhead.

Weather was in the 30’s with snow reported in the search areas. The concern was they were not equipped for cold wet weather, with hypothermia being the huge concern.
