Former Cascade Golf Course turned North Bend park gets new name, Glamping, frisbee golf

At the June 19th Si View Parks Commission meeting, commissioners were expected to officially name the former Cascade Golf Course property recently purchased by the Parks District for use as community recreation space. According to the meeting agenda, the new recommended name for the 28-acre property is ‘South Fork Landing.’

The newly acquired park space on 436th Ave SE in North Bend comes with potential access to the South Fork of the Snoqualmie River – if an easement can be negotiated. According to commission meeting documents, a kickoff master planning meeting for the property is also being scheduled for later this month.

In the meantime, it looks like Si View has temporarily allowed some of the property to Roam Beyond Travel to be used as a ‘Glamping’ destination for the summer of 2019.

The luxury camping destination comes with wood-paneled, upgraded travel trailers/campers that can sleep 2-4 people and a lounging area complete with outdoor furniture, barbecue and fire pit, along with solar power panel for lights and charging electronics. Prices are around $275/night.

Si View is also bringing in Frisbee golf to the property temporarily as it works on longterm planning for the new park.
