For the Love of Snoqualmie: Week of Art, Music, Food Highlighting Historic Snoqualmie Starts February 8th

The Downtown Snoqualmie Merchants Association, Snoqualmie Arts Commission and the Snoqualmie Valley Chamber of Commerce invite community members to celebrate For the Love of Snoqualmie week starting tomorrow, February 8th and running through Valentine’s Day.

Explore Snoqualmie’s historic district from February 8-14 with live music, dining, gifts, fashion, children’s activities, treats and specials. Look for the balloons at participating businesses.

Additionally, the Snoqualmie Arts Commission will present its February Art Walk as part of the week-long event. The art walk features works created by local artists hanging in downtown shops and storefronts.

There is also a special art reception on Saturday, February 9th, from 1-6PM that highlights the Snoqualmie Valley School District’s Reflections Art Contest.  65 pieces of student art will be on display in the Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center and City Hall. Visit the SVSD website for more information on the Reflections contest.

According to Lanice Gillard, Snoqualmie Arts Commission Chairperson, “The streets will be filled with musicians and most of the merchants downtown are doing kid crafts, give-a-ways – and the Arts Commission also has a local adult Art Show at the corner store across from the depot and the old Coin Shop next to the market.”

It should be a great weekend (and week) in downtown Snoqualmie featuring lots of food, entertainment, art – and even a kid “drop and dash” event at Simply Anne Boutique for parents who want to enjoy the festivities on their own.  For more info on events click the link below.
