Here are a few calls the Snoqualmie Fire Department responded to this past week.
August 20th
Around 2AM Snoqualmie Firefighters responded to a burn complaint call in the unincorporated King County area. Nothing was found.
At 4:20PM Snoqualmie Firefighters were dispatched to a residential fire alarm call in North Bend. The cause was burning food on a stove. Smoke in the residence was removed with fans.
Around 10PM Snoqualmie Firefighters were dispatched to a medical assistance call. A male in his 30’s felt weak and nauseous and requested transport to Snoqualmie Valley Hospital.
August 22nd
At 4:50AM Snoqualmie Firefighters aided a 74-year-old male who is blind. He had fallen and couldn’t get up. Neighbors called 911 after hearing his calls for help.
August 24th
At 1:30AM Snoqualmie Firefighters responded to a male patient complaining of difficulty in breathing. He was assessed and he decided to remain at home. Firefighters advised him to call 911 if his condition worsened.
Around 10AM Snoqualmie Firefighters were dispatched to a fire alarm at MicroConnex called in by the alarm company. Multiple alarms were reported. Firefighters arrived to find the building evacuated with no signs of fire from the exterior. Investigation found no signs of fire, but located two smoke heads that had been activated with no obvious signs of issue. The alarm was canceled and the system reset.
AT 6:40PM Snoqualmie Firefighters responded with other units to a fire alarm the Snoqualmie Tribal Center. On arrival, firefighters found no signs from the fire on the exterior and noted bells and strobes activated. The building was evacuated. Tribal security advised that it likely was set off by a cleaning crew who failed to cover a smoke head while cleaning the restroom. Firefighters confirmed the activation and reset the system.
August 25th
Around 12PM Snoqualmie Firefighters were dispatched to a report of an injured male in a riding lawnmower incident. The individual was riding up a steep hill when the mower rolled over on top of him. Patient was assessed and transported to Snoqualmie Valley Hospital by a co-worker.
At 10:05PM Snoqualmie Firefighters assisted a 45-year-old woman who had tripped over a dog pen, injuring her ankle. Firefighters splinted the ankle and transported the woman to Overlake Medical Hospital.
