Final River Repair Project Work Brings Traffic Delays to SR 202

Traffic will alternate on State Route 202 in Fall City beginning Tuesday, Oct. 13, for landscaping along the state highway.

From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 13-14, SR 202 traffic will alternate just east of the SR 202/SR 203 roundabout where crews repaired erosion damage this past summer. People traveling in the area should expect delays.

In July and August, contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation repaired erosion damage caused by major storms in December 2025 and March 2026 during two weekend closures. Crews placed woody material, boulders, streambed gravel mix and stone fragments to restore the roadside embankment to its original grade.

Landscaping planned Oct. 13-14 is one of the final remaining tasks for this project.

Real-time traffic information is available on the WSDOT mobile app and the real-time travel map.
