Fighting Hunger: Mount Si Cheer, Culinary Arts team up for Empty Bowls Fundraiser

Back for another year – the Mount Si High School Cheer and Culinary Arts programs are teaming up for the 2020 Empty Bowls Fundraiser benefitting local food banks. The event takes place Friday, January 31st from 5:30-7:30PM in the MSHS south commons.

The fundraiser concept is simple: buy a ticket enjoy a dinner of soup and bread donated by local restaurants. Those bowls have been specifically created for the event by student artists from all three SVSD middle schools and also Mount Si students.

Pick your bowl. Enjoy your dinner and then take that bowl with you when you leave. Event music will be provided by a MSHS band ensemble.

All proceeds from the this year’s Empty Bowls event will be donated to the Fall City Food Pantry and the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank. The event – held in communities across the country – is designed to raise awareness around hunger locally and to support organizations that work to end it.

Single tickets are $15. A 4-pack is $50. You can buy tickets online HERE
