Fatal Car, Motorcycle Collision on SR 202 Near Snoqualmie Falls

The Washington State Patrol reported on August 6, 2015 at 5PM, a fatal car and motorcycle accident occurred about one mile west of Snoqualmie Falls on SR 202 (near the Tokul Creek milepost), resulting in a lengthy closure of the busy roadway as police officers investigated the fatal collision.

A WSP accident report stated a 2013 BMW S1000 motorcycle was traveling eastbound on SR 202 when it lost control attempting to navigate a curve, crossed into the westbound lane and was struck by a sedan.

According to WSP, the 17-year old male motorcycle driver from Bothell died in the collision.  The 31-year old male driver of the sedan (from Kent) was not injured, but a 6-year old female in the sedan was injured and transported to a local hospital.  Both vehicle occupants were wearing seat belts.

WSP says drugs and alcohol were not involved. The driver of the motorcycle was wearing a helmet and had his motorcycle endorsement.  The accident is still under investigation.
