Fall City hosts Holiday Fun this weekend: holiday market, tree lighting, community dance

Fall City is getting into the holiday spirit this weekend, bringing back all of the holiday favorites for residents on Saturday, December 1st.

First up… the 19th annual Holiday Market from 10AM to 3PM will offer many handmade items for sale from local crafters and artists throughout the community.  Come discover unique vintage items and purchase gifts for all those special people on your holiday shopping list.  Pick up fresh wreaths, swags and live Poinsettias for your holiday decorating.

The Fall City Historical Society table with its great gift ideas will include the 2019 Fall City Calendar (THEN AND NOW), a selection of historic photo prints, Fall City holiday cards, magnets, the latest collector’s beverage glass with a Salish Salmon design, and the basic books:  “Preserving the Stories of Fall City” and “Jack’s History of Fall City.”  There will also be a display on the Historic Signs Project.

Attendees can enjoy lunch with EJ’s Catering, which uses high quality, organic ingredients. They will offer up hot sandwiches, soups, salads and desserts, following their motto: “healthy and hardy can co-exist”.

This year’s Bake Sale will be filled with many delicious goodies prepared by the Fall City United Methodist Women’s group. Bring your friends and enjoy a cup of coffee and enter to win one of many unique raffle prizes.  

Holiday Market Live Music includes the Chief Kanim Middle School Music Program with the sounds of the seasonJohann Sasynuik will also be playing seasonal music on the piano.

After the Holiday Market head to the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5PM at Olive Taylor Quigley Park to  light up the town. After that head across the street to the Art Park for a Relay For Life fundraiser and have some chili, hot dogs, macaroni & cheese, hot chocolate and hot cider.

And if that wasn’t enough fun for you, there is also a Fall City Community Dance form 6PM  – 9PM at the Masonic Lodge, 4304 337th PL SE. You can dance to live music with RON BAILEY& THE TANGENTS playing a variety of energetic, rock &roll and honky-tonk music. It’s FREE to the community and includes FREE swing dance lessons. Donations will be  accepted for Snoqualmie Valley Winter Homeless Shelter.
