SUMMARY:Carnation Farms RAGE Fest
DESCRIPTION:RAGE Fest\n\n\nNovember 8 @ 10:00 am – 4:30 pm \n\n\n\nWhy do women so rarely learn to be angry? This is the question posed by Soraya Chemaly in Rage Becomes Her: the Power of Women’s Anger\, and it’s the anchor of this daylong retreat for women 21+. Join poet and mindfulness teacher\, Anna Sullivan and dive into clinically-supported expressions of the emotions we’ve been taught to suppress: rage\, fear\, despair. Through creative and physical practice\, we alchemize these into power\, into knowing\, into resistant and beautiful rest. \nFor: women\, 21+ \nSample itinerary:\n10 am: arrival + introductions\n10:30: rage on the page (journaling\, art)\n11:30: scream\, thrash\, break\n12:30: lunch\n1:30: make from the break (mosaic workshop)\n3:30: collective rest\n4:30: closing \nWhat to bring:\nJournal\nYoga mat\nWater \nWhy now: In Anna’s words\, “Most of us have spent years neatly tucking our anger away. This retreat\, at a time when the world feels extra heavy and hectic\, offers space to express and move through rage (and fear! And despair!) in warm\, connected community. There are so many reasons to be angry – and so many beautiful things to be born from our anger. Join us for all of it.” \n$190 through 10/15\, then $210\nSliding scale and scholarship tickets available\, reach out to anna@pidgepost.com

SUMMARY:Carnation Farms Letters to the Dead: connecting to our beloved lost
DESCRIPTION:Letters to the Dead: connecting to our beloved lost\n\n\nOctober 24 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm \n\n\n\nAs we enter the season of Halloween – believed by ancient Celts to be the time the veil between our world and “the other side” thins – join poet and mindfulness teacher Anna Sullivan for a spacious exploration into death and loss. This two-hour workshop combines intentional community and handwritten letters to support deep connection: to ourselves\, each other\, and our beloved lost. \nWriting letters to those who have died is a powerful tool\, a way to meaningfully express gratitude\, grief\, or even outstanding grievances/questions. This event\, inspired by Postal Service for the Dead\, is for anyone looking to connect to lost loved ones (through death or some other kind of way) at any stage of life. \nMaterials will be provided\, with additional information emailed prior to the event. Participants aged 18+ please.
