SUMMARY:Love Snoqualmie Valley Volunteer Day
DESCRIPTION:Love Snoqualmie Valley Volunteer Day is on Saturday\, October 4th! Join the City of Carnation at Valley Memorial Park (31999 E Blanche Street) at 9:00 AM for its clean-up. \nThe City of Carnation needs your help! They have a small public works crew that works very hard to keep the parks mowed and clean. Valley Memorial Park is a 7-acre park with lots of amenities\, including a skate bowl\, playground\, tennis and basketball courts\, dog park and more. Their team could use your help to really make the park shine through washing park benches\, picking up branches\, painting over graffiti\, filling holes in the dog park and cleaning up around the tennis and basketball courts. Come for as long as you can; even an hour will have an enormous impact. \nProject Leader: Rhonda Ender \nDo volunteers need to bring anything? (gloves\, shovels\, water bottle?) \nYes! Dress for park clean-up and maybe painting. Bring gardening or work gloves. \nDo volunteers need to wear anything specific? (close-toed shoes\, a jacket\, etc.) \nYes! Wear closed-toed shoes and dress for park cleanup and possibly painting. Wear weather-appropriate clothes. \nClick HERE to sign up!

SUMMARY:Carnation Farms Letters to the Dead: connecting to our beloved lost
DESCRIPTION:Letters to the Dead: connecting to our beloved lost\n\n\nOctober 24 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm \n\n\n\nAs we enter the season of Halloween – believed by ancient Celts to be the time the veil between our world and “the other side” thins – join poet and mindfulness teacher Anna Sullivan for a spacious exploration into death and loss. This two-hour workshop combines intentional community and handwritten letters to support deep connection: to ourselves\, each other\, and our beloved lost. \nWriting letters to those who have died is a powerful tool\, a way to meaningfully express gratitude\, grief\, or even outstanding grievances/questions. This event\, inspired by Postal Service for the Dead\, is for anyone looking to connect to lost loved ones (through death or some other kind of way) at any stage of life. \nMaterials will be provided\, with additional information emailed prior to the event. Participants aged 18+ please.
