SUMMARY:North Bend May 28 Parks and Trails Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The City of North Bend and North Bend Parks Commission invite the community to attend a Parks Workshop at the Parks Commission meeting on Thursday\, May 28\, starting at 6:30 p.m. \nEnjoy refreshments and meet city staff and Parks commissioners while learning about updates to the Parks Element of the city’s Comprehensive Plan\, which serves as the Master Plan for park and trail planning for the City of North Bend. \nThe Parks Element was last updated in 2022. Amendments are now proposed to: \n\nModify certain park level of service standards based on input from the 2024 Si View Community Park Survey and other public input\nRevise projects on the Parks Capital Facilities Plan\nAmend and add policies based on comments received from the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe\n\nThe Parks Workshop will provide an opportunity to participate in planning for the future of recreation spaces and amenities in North Bend. The Parks Element of the Comprehensive Plan includes: \n\nAn inventory of park and trail facilities\nEstablishes levels of service for various facilities\nProvides policies relating to park and trail planning and development\nContains a 20-Year Parks Capital Improvement Program (CIP)\, serving as a future city project wish-list\, and a Six-Year Parks CIP that prioritizes the top projects from the 20 Year Parks CIP for implementation\, subject to grants and available funding.\n\nThe workshop will start at 6:30 p.m. at North Bend City Hall\, located at 920 SE Cedar Falls Way.
