SUMMARY:How to Support Student Engagement When the Honeymoon of Returning is Over
DESCRIPTION:We will explore how to support student engagement with the return to school while learning options for coping with anxiety and worry.\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this event\n\n\nIntroducing our Presenters: \nDorothy Bearson- Brooks Powers Group \nI am a licensed Mental Health Counselor\, certified school psychologist and teacher. I earned my Ed.S in School Psychology from the University of Washington after completing my teacher’s education program at Michigan State University and Western Washington University. In my current role at Brooks Powers Group\, I provide in-clinic and in-home counseling services including individual\, family and parent support as well as working closely with local school districts to build and implement programs meant to support students who struggle to get to school every day. \nErica Healy- Snoqualmie Valley School District \nI have a master’s degree in social work from the University of Washington\, am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Substance Use Disorder Professional. My background is in co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. I have been working for the Snoqualmie Valley School District since 2014.
