If you can brew a cup of tea, you can dye wool!  Carnation Farms has teamed up with Clear Creek Farm to bring you a natural dye workshop where you’ll learn basic techniques for extracting color from plants onto protein fibers like wool and silk. They’ll identify some local plants you can use, talk about mordants, and dye sample yarns for you to take home. Plants you’ll learn from include onions, madder, hollyhock, dahlias, with special guest appearances from indigo and lichens.
