Encompass shared some exciting news on June 9, 2016 – news that will allow the longtime Snoqualmie Valley non-profit to expand its reach and help more local kids and families.
The Washington Women’s Foundation recently awarded Encompass one of five Pooled Fund Grants Awards given to area non-profits. The grant awarded to Encompass totals $100,000 and will fund the Encompass Mobile Therapy Unit.
Via press release Encompass said the new mobile unit will allow them to provide life changing therapies for children and families in rural areas, as well as locations such as homeless shelters, transitional housing facilities, schools and throughout our community.
Encompass plans to purchase a modified van that will be retrofitted to house a fully equipped therapy lab, including a walled off play area, a one-way mirror and the sound a video equipment necessary to facilitate therapy programs. This mobile therapy lab is an innovative way to bring therapies, including mental health therapy, speech therapy and parent coaching, directly to underserved communities.
