ORIGINAL STORY

Eastside Fire & Rescue (EF&R) is launching their Annual Food & Toy Drive virtually this year.

Annually, Eastside Fire & Rescue partners with the Eastside Firefighters Local Union 2878 and the Eastside Firefighters Benevolent Fund to hold several fundraisers. The Fill the Truck Food Drive and Reindeer Engine Toy Drives have been a wonderful way to connect with community members during the holiday season.

Historically, the community has responded by donating over 30,000 pounds of food and thousands of dollars in toys, clothing, and cash donations annually. These donations directly help the Issaquah Valley Food & Clothing Bank, Snoqualmie Food Bank, and Hopelink Carnation to overwhelmingly meet the needs of fellow community members.

This year, they remain dedicated to serving the community and continue the tradition of giving while keeping community members safe. Donations will be accepted for the online Holiday Food & Toy Drive.

You can participate by clicking DONATE or by texting “GIVE” to 339-229-5551

Eastside Fire & Rescue Fire Station 83 is located at 3425 Issaquah Pine Lake Rd. SE in Sammamish will be turned into a holiday drive-thru of lights and apparatus to raise awareness of the fundraising efforts. Additional details regarding drop-off times will be distributed soon.
