Eastside Fire & Rescue Crews Respond to a 3-Alarm Brush Fire in North Bend

At approximately 5 pm Sunday, August 28th, Eastside Fire and Rescue (EF&R) reported they were fighting a brush fire in North Bend near the 47300 block of Southeast Grouse Ridge Access Road.

Fifteen minutes after the department’s first tweet, EF&R announced that the response had been upgraded to a third alarm.

Public Information and Education Officer Catherine Breault reports the fire has been contained, but units remain on the scene to clean up. No injuries have been reported.

The fire appears to have started in some sort of encampment. It is unknown if it was being used at the time of the fire.
