CHOIR HISTORY

In addition to two formal yearly concerts, planned activities include performances on the Argosy Christmas Ship, at area Christmas tree lightings and on the Snoqualmie Santa Train. Choir members help plan each concert, choosing repertoire and creating programs.

New choir director Julie Parsons, has over 20 years experience of conducting, She studied at Central College (IA), New England Conservatory and the University of Washington. Parsons has performed all over the world, including with the London Philharmonic Choir and is a founding member of the Seattle-based Mägi Ensemble, a professional women’s choir. Her vision for SVGC reaches beyond the music – to forming lasting member relationships, within families and among the community.

SVGC begins rehearsals on September 18th at Mt. Si Lutheran Church. More information is available at the Snoqualmie Valley Girls Choir website. To RSVP for the picnic, and to reserve a placement audition, email svgirlschoir@gmail.com.
