Crush! Once Just a Soda – Now Snoqualmie Baseball!

First Crush Tournament Win

That’s right… Crush (once just a soda) is now synonymous with youth baseball in Snoqualmie.  In case you haven’t guessed yet, the uniforms are bright orange – and very cool!  Crush baseball was started by local dads looking for more local baseball opportunities than just the regular little league season.  A few years later and there are now 3 Crush teams (10U -12U) and a Crushette softball team.  If you want more  info on the teams go to www.snoqualmiecrush.com.

The 10U and 11U Crush teams play in a local Snoqualmie Valley baseball tournament this weekend.  The  2nd Annual Tournament at Mt. Si kicks off today and runs through Sunday – hosted by the North Bend Knuckleballers baseball club.   There are over 50 teams signed up in 6 age brackets….. age ranges are 8 to 14 yrs.  There are plenty of eastside baseball clubs participating…. but also teams from as far away as Montana, Oregon and eastern Washington! In fact, the tournament is so much bigger this year that Tibbetts Fields in Issaquah are hosting games in addition to Centennial Fields in Snoqualmie.

So if you don’t feel like paying an arm and a leg to catch a Mariner’s game this weekend then head down to Centennial Fields.  There’s no admission charge!  Catching an 8 yr old baseball game is sure to bring a smile to your face!  Your local baseball teams are well-represented by Snoqualmie Crush and North Bend Knuckleballers. If you own a business be prepared!  There are lots of extra families in Snoqualmie this weekend.  50 teams with 11 players on each means plenty of families looking for food in between games…..

Just look for the bright orange jerseys…. GO CRUSH!
