Creative and Love the Holidays? North Bend and Encompass Have the Edible Contest for You!

Thanksgiving is over.  The Black Friday shopping extravaganza is in full force, which means one thing:  Bring on the holidays!

This year as part of its annual Holiday Festival, the North Bend Downtown Foundation and Encompass are introducing their 1st Annual Gingerbread House Contest.

And it’s not just for you ultra-creative, holiday pros.  Everyone is encouraged to use their holiday imagination and create a gingerbread work of art.  There are four different entry categories ranging from kids ages 7-12; teens ages 13-17; family; and adults, 18 and older.

You have until this Wednesday, November 28th, to return your entry form (with small fee) and then your finished masterpiece should be delivered on December 1st to Cook Real Estate in downtown North Bend.  The edible creations will then be displayed throughout the week in different downtown North Bend businesses.

The gingerbread houses will be brought out for judging and voting during the North Bend Holiday Festival on December 8th.

Winners of the kids and teen categories will win a $50 movie night for 4 at the North Bend Theater.  Winners of the adult category receive a Boxley’s $100 gift certificate and the family winner gets a $100 gift certificate to the North Bend Bar and Grill.
