Community’s Tips Lead Police to Outlet Mall Robbery Suspect, Raid Home with SWAT Team

Late Friday night, November 7, 2014, the Snoqualmie Police Department used social media to thank the community for the crime tips that helped locate and apprehend two suspects wanted in connection with an armed robbery at the North Bend Outlet Mall.

Shortly after 10AM, November 6, 2014, Snoqualmie Police officers responded to the North Bend Premium Outlet Mall for an armed robbery at Carter’s, located at 461 South Fork Ave SW. No one was injured during the robbery and the suspect escaped in a vehicle.

A lone, female employee was opening the store when a masked man entered, carrying a taser. The suspect approached the employee and with the taser in hand, demanded the registers be opened.

Police asked for the public’s help in the search for the suspect, described as a male Asian or Native American in his early to mid twenties, 5’ 5”-5’ 8”, average build, short hair (possible buzz style cut) and brown eyes; possibly driving a black or green Mazda 3 with the rear driver’s side tail lights burnt out.

Tips led to the location of the suspect and around 11AM, November 7th, Snoqualmie Police stated they, along with a Coalition SWAT team, had raided the his home in Snoqualmie.

A witness reported seeing a man fitting the suspect’s description surrounded by police at the corner of River Street and Park Street in downtown Snoqualmie.

 

No one was injured when the search warrant was issued. Police said a search of the suspect’s home was underway Friday afternoon and the investigation was ongoing as of Friday night.
