Community Invited to Relay for Life Activities This Weekend, Fun-filled Event to ‘Finish the Fight’ Against Cancer

The annual Relay for Life cancer fundraiser event happens this weekend, July 12 and 13 at Torguson Park in North Bend, 750 E. North Bend Way.  Organizers and teams have been fundraising for over 6 months in preparation for the big event and all night walk.

Organizers describe Relay for Life of Snoqualmie Valley as a celebration of life for the whole community to come together and “Finish the Fight” against cancer; celebrate more birthday; and remember those lost to cancer.

Organizers invites the community to partake in the ceremonies and festivities at Torguson Park this coming weekend.

Saturday, July 12th

  • 2PM          Opening Ceremony and Lap, Survivor Recognition
  • 3PM              Live Music by Jean-Jacques Tetu
  • 4PM              Live Music by Sammi Cesmat
  • 5:30PM       Live Music by Neutral Bias (folk rock duo)
  • 7PM              Live Music by Story Boxx Band
  • 9:30PM       Solo Dance Performance by Maiya Weinmaster
  • 10PM       Ceremony with musician Liam Wright (Come early to make your bag to remember and celebrate a love one.)

Sunday, July 13th

9AM  –  Closing Ceremony and Rally Lap to FINISH THE FIGHT!

Other activities on Saturday:

  • Haircutting by Pantene Beautiful Lengths – Donate 8” of your hair to go toward wigs for cancer patients
  • A variety of delicious food
  • Zumba
  • Self defense class
  • Sack races
  • Arts and crafts

2013 Relay for Life
2013 Relay for Life with teams walking laps all day and night to help find a cure for cancer. The annual event happens in the Snoqualmie Valley and nationally.
