Community Cool Down: Firefighters turn Snoqualmie Park into giant spray park, will repeat at Centennial Fields today

There was some giant sprinkler a fun at Snoqualmie Community Park on Thursday afternoon, July 12, 2018 when a Snoqualmie Fire truck showed up to help kids cool down in the summer heat.

Firefighters hooked up one of their hoses and made it rain on the park’s lower soccer field. SFD announced the spur-of-the-moment cool down event that morning via their Twitter feed.

They also had a drone with them that captured a few photos of the fun.

SFD said to watch their Twitter feed for days and locations they will show up to #make it rain this summer.  The next announced day is Friday, July 13th at 2PM. This time they’ll be at Centennial Fields next to Snoqualmie Elementary School.

[Note: SFD is usually only able to do these short community cool down events when they have no other calls for service or training scheduled.]
