Committed to Snoqualmie: No Boat Brewing announces expansion just two years after opening

It’s only about 2.5 years since No Boat Brewing Company opened inside some empty Ronix Warehouse space on Snoqualmie Ridge, but in that short time it has grown to be popular with locals and tourists alike.

Sunny days usually find the outdoor patio crowded with hikers, families and lots of furry canine companions. Each day food trucks arrive to feed patrons, and often times families bring their own food – which is allowed.

So what do you do two years after creating a successful brewing – taproom formula? Well, expand of course.

No Boat announced their expansion plans in early March on their Facebook page.

Founder and Head Brewer David Skiba said, “The expansion represents, for the moment, the addition of new space within our current warehouse for the immediate purpose of adding capacity to our production house.” He added, “We’re super excited to make this further commitment to our home in Snoqualmie.”

The plan is to add more stainless tanks and wood fermenting vessels, along with a new brewing system in order to produce more volume and more varieties. They’ll be expanding into the space behind the taproom seating area half wall.

Another goal is to start canning and bottling No Boat beer toward the end of 2019 or in early 2020. It will most likely be available in 16oz cans and large format bottles – think wine bottle size.

Skiba said, “Our new system will also allow us to greatly expand our barrel-aging and wild/spontaneous ale programs which we are super stoked about.”

In the coming months customers will notice some a few cosmetic tweaks inside the taproom and some likely additions to the popular and unique parking lot patio. There are currently no plans to add a kitchen (the food truck model is working well) or increase the taproom space. Skiba said seating plans may change as the expansion project progresses, though. A few new food trucks have also been booked for the upcoming spring and summer.

Good Luck, No Boat!
