Comedians to invade North Bend on Saturday, November 5th

Sixteen stand-up comics will be slinging their best jokes Saturday night when the 42nd Annual Seattle International Comedy Competition lands at the North Bend Theatre.

Comics from the US, Canada, and Detroit will compete for cash prizes and the honor of becoming the “2022 SICC Champion.”

Hosted by the North Bend Theatre, Saturday’s competition is the first round of the contest, and all sixteen comics will be pulling out their best material in order to advance to the next round.

Beth Burrows, the owner of the Theatre, is thrilled to host the event. “A comedy competition is a blast, especially the first round.  The comedians are fresh, fully charged, and they come out swinging. Prepare yourself for two hours of nonstop laughter.”

The comics include a former Marine, a nurse who can describe her entire life in less than a minute, a drop-out from Evil Clown College, and a Disney fan who also keeps a Bug Out Bag ready for the Apocalypse.

The Seattle International Comedy Competition is America’s biggest touring comedy festival.  Spanning the entire month of November, 32 comedians perform their way across Puget Sound, vying for $16,000 in cash prizes.

The final night of the competition will be hosted at Laugh’s Comedy Club in Seattle’s University District and will feature the top five comedians. Tickets are going fast! Check availability online at http://northbendtheatre.com.
