Have ‘Coffee with a Cop’ this week; chance to share concerns, conversation with local police officers

Have questions for our local police officers? Here’s a chance to ask them. The City of Snoqualmie announced this Friday, residents will have that opportunity.

Discuss concerns or just share a friendly conversation at Coffee with a Cop, held Friday, November 17th,

SPD Chief Perry Phipps

8AM-10AM at the Starbucks located inside the new Snoqualmie Safeway at 34828 SE Douglas Street.

Members of the Snoqualmie Police Department, which serves Snoqualmie and North Bend, along with local Troopers of the Washington State Patrol will be on hand to meet with residents.

“This is what having a cup of coffee is all about – it’s the conversation and fellowship with others that make the coffee more enjoyable,” said Snoqualmie Police Chief Perry Phipps.

Coffee with a Cop, which started as a nationwide initiative in 2011, opens the door for interactions between law enforcement officers and community members outside of crisis situations that typically bring them together. The program has expanded to Canada, Europe, Australia, and Africa.

SPD may also be bringing Coffee with a Cup to North Bend soon.
