Church on the Ridge building new, large facility in Snoqualmie Ridge Business Park

There’s a new building going up way back in the Snoqualmie Ridge Business Park – and it might be something a little different than imagined.

Church on the Ridge announced it recently broke ground on a new building, one they say is designed to form a more lasting presence in the heart of the greater Snoqualmie Valley.

Church on the Ridge – which has been in Snoqualmie since 2004 – said via press release that building its own facility ensures the church can continue to be a part of the community for future generations.

Currently Church on the Ridge is located next door the new building’s site where it leases half of an approximate 50,000 sq. ft. commercial building. The ministry said it has made tenant improvements to that space throughout the years, but this is the first relocation and building program in the church’s history.

Lead Pastor Charlie Salmon said, “Since we launched in 2004, our purpose has been, and always will be, to serve our community here in Snoqualmie and the surrounding area. We are proud to provide a permanent place for people to find hope, healing, and community for many years to come.”

The new building will be nestled in the Snoqualmie Ridge Business Park, near the end of  Douglas Street and adjacent to their current facility. The 41,129 square-foot building will feature a modern design plan with three floors, nearly 15,000 square feet of children’s space, along with a 450-seat auditorium, which will be available for performances and events, as well as weekend gatherings on Saturday and Sunday.

The new building will also serve as a hub for additional ministries to the Snoqualmie Valley area, including Kids on the Ridge Preschool and Serve Snoqualmie. Other community programs will include financial and parenting classes, and family counseling.

The new facility was made possible by financial commitments from congregation members through the church’s capital campaign, “Cornerstone for Generations.” Church leaders acquired the land parcel more than a decade ago, … so this new building has been in the works for quite a long time.
