History of Church on the Ridge and Red, White & Boom

Church on the Ridge (COTR) began serving the Snoqualmie region in 2004, offering weekly gatherings for adults, kids, and youth and serving Snoqualmie with events like Happiest Halloween and Breakaway.

In 2017, COTR produced the first Red, White & Boom event, which attracted approximately 3,500 people who enjoyed fun, fireworks, and community.

Since then, the event has grown, and they now expect as many as 6,000 attendees this year to fill out Snoqualmie Community Park’s upper and lower soccer fields and the YMCA’s parking lot.

This year’s sixth annual celebration includes Inflatables, Food Trucks, Music, Field Games, Vendors, Bubbles, and Sidewalk Chalk. A new addition to this year’s show includes the 1st Annual Serve Snoqualmie Red, White & Boom Skateboard Tournament at the Community Skatepark, Sponsored by Sno-King Ice Arenas. All ages can register here https://tinyurl.com/RWBSkate.

As a community event produced by Church on the Ridge at no cost to attendees, funding comes from sponsors, donors, and community residents. As a 501(c)(3), any monies collected beyond production needs are applied toward next year’s show. Those interested in sponsoring the 2023 Event may contact Jeff Mihal, Red, White & Boom Event Planner @ Jeff@churchontheridge.org.

According to Mihal, “all our event plans, details, and attractions are filtered through our Five CORE VALUES: Excellence, Integrity, Family-friendly, Safety, and Fun.”

Mihal continues, “the passion and vision behind this event are to provide a memorable and positive experience for the residents of Snoqualmie and anyone visiting our city during this patriotic holiday.”
