According to the Media Relations Officer for the King County Sheriff’s Office, Corbett Ford, multiple agencies are looking for two people in North Bend suspected of a carjacking.

Around 345 pm this afternoon, a person reportedly interrupted a car prowl at the Olallie Trailhead parking lot and gave chase to four adult suspects in a reported Dodge Charger who then fired shots at the reporting person.

The suspects crashed their car, then hijacked a Blue 2022 Subaru Forester SUV with Carter Subaru dealer plates. The victim was hit in the head with a flashlight and pulled from her car. She has been transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

King County Sheriff, Snoqualmie/North Bend PD, Issaquah PD, and WSP were all involved in an active search for the victim’s vehicle which was found, lost and again and then found near the outlet mall in North Bend where two suspects were detailed.

Two suspects are still currently at large in the North Bend area.

The story will be updated as details become available.

    1. I haven’t heard anything today. It appears they were picked up and driven away so it isn’t likely they’re still around but I’ll ask the Media Relations Officer for an update soon.

  • Why isn’t there any description of the 2 males or the vehicle beyond tan gray? Car, Truck, Dogsled? There are 2 armed carjackers on the loose in our neighborhoods and this is all we get? Nobody can give any more detail than “male” and tan grey? No camera footage from anywhere?

    1. snoqualmie pd reposted description as four black male adults. for some reason I can’t copy and paste it. https://twitter.com/issaquahpolice/status/1533600468542234625?s=12&t=iLr8DEr6rTIB-3D7WIVwmw&fbclid=IwAR3y2TKenI2kxbW9zAj4-NBuGOvmU2rKOfl5BLOyBvgjATzR6QIHCBu2e3E

      1. Sorry about that Jef. I had to turn off commenters’ ability to live post links because of spammers. Yes, I saw that description too but the KCSO Media Relations Officer who kindly talked to me on a Sunday night thought the suspects were male and female and were unsure of their race so, we had to leave it out.

  • Its real important in these situations to get as much information on the armed suspects as possible out to the public. Males and race are minimal at best but height, clothing, weight, approx age can all help people spot the suspects. Without this and as more and more time passes, the chances of the KCSO catching the crooks diminishes rapidly. Was the car that crashed stolen? Are the two people that were caught talking?

  • Melissa I’ve been compiling a spreadsheet listing all trailhead car prowls statewide from1/1/2015 to present. I’d like to send you the link but don’t want my comment to be marked as spam. How can I get you the link?

    1. On a Wednesday night last July/August I had two windows smashed and the contents of my car gone through by trailhead vandalizes at 14713 436th Ave SE, North Bend, WA. It was about a 30 minute timeframe. I held to talk to someone to make a police report or to get help, but I don’t think I ever reported it. A 2nd car also had glass broken in the same timeframe. We were parked on the gravel parking to walk South Fork. Nothing was stolen because I hadn’t left anything.
Would it help the researched to get you exact date/time?
Thank you for all you are doing! I’m still trying to determine if it’s better to leave car unlocked or locked or windows open. But mostly we just haven’t hiked again since then due to the concern for our vehicle and the feeling of violation and costs related to this type of crime.
