Calvary Mt. Si sets up memorial fund to support family of North Bend man killed in Seattle crane collapse

Calvary Mt. Si Church recently announced a that a benevolence fund has been set up for congregation member and North Bend resident Andrew Yoder, who perished in the tragic crane collapse in the South Lake Union area of Seattle.

Yoder was one of two ironworkers who died Saturday, April 27, 2019 while working to dismantle the crane atop the new Google building at the corner of Mercer Street and Fairview Ave. The accident also took the lives of two people in cars.

According to the Calvary Mt. Si Facebook post, gifts made to the benevolence fund will be given directly to support Andrew’s wife and their two young sons.

Calgary Mt Si also asked residents to “Please pray for the Yoder Family, our church family, and all those affected, as we grieve the loss of an amazing man of God, husband, and father.”

In a couple of weeks the church will also hold a meeting for residents who wish to discuss other non-monetary ways they can assist the family.

Andrew Yoder was 31-years old and a also Marine.
