The Snoqualmie Arts Commission is seeking artwork for display at Snoqualmie City Hall August 2026 – September 2027. Each exhibition will feature multiple two-dimensional pieces from a single artist.
Diverse mediums are encouraged, including paintings, pastels, pencil, photography, and digital art. A limited number of three-dimensional pieces, such as glass art or pottery, will be considered for display in the gallery’s enclosed case.
Snoqualmie City Hall’s gallery has a modern aesthetic and spans two floors. It’s open to the public Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.–3 p.m., with frequent evening public meetings. City Hall is closed on Fridays and federal holidays.
Eligibility
Open to experienced and emerging artists residing in Washington state. Preference will be given to artists living in the Puget Sound region.
How to Apply
The deadline to submit is July 8, 2026. Applications should include a brief statement of interest, past exhibit history, and up to six representative images. Submit by email to Nicole Wiebe, Arts Commission Liaison, at [email protected]. A signed waiver is required prior to display.
Selection Process
The Snoqualmie Arts Commission will review applications and base their recommendations on demonstrated artistic merit. Applications will also be evaluated on appropriateness in concept and content for a public location.
Exhibit Duration and Setup
Selected artists will coordinate installation dates with the Arts Commission and are expected to assist with delivery, setup, and take-down. The two-dimensional work must be mounted or framed and ready to hang with wires. Each display will run for a duration of three to four months.
Sales and Promotion
Artwork may be priced to sell. All sales are handled privately between the artist and buyer. Artists are responsible for applicable taxes. Artwork should remain on display until after show concludes. Exhibitions are publicized through city e-newsletters, social media, and the City’s website. Artists are encouraged to promote their exhibition.
