New Restaurant Coming Soon
It’s looks like the former home of La Fogata in downtown Snoqualmie won’t be sitting empty for too long. The longtime Mexican restaurant closed in February.
According to Snoqualmie Economic Development Commission member, Carolyn Simpson, at the commission’s last meeting they were told a new restaurant was going in the retail space formerly occupied by La Fogata at 8072 Railroad Ave SE.
Also, according to a City of Snoqualmie Planning Department staff report for the March 10th city council meeting, Ray’s Dining Car applied for a business license for 10 employees located in the La Fogata spot.
Simpson said there will be some remodeling of the space before the new restaurant opens its doors to Snoqualmie Valley residents.
No word yet on what kind of food Ray’s Dining Car will serve. Look for more info here soon.
Snoqualmie No Longer Without Pharmacy
Ridge Pharmacy will open its doors inside the Snoqualmie Ridge IGA in May 2014.
The City of Snoqualmie has been without a pharmacy since Village Pharmacy closed in July 2013, saying that due to how insurance companies now reimburse, it was losing money on many prescriptions filled and could no longer afford the retail space.
New Ridge Pharmacy owner, Darren Augenstein, also operates SeattleMeds, a pharmacy located in Seattle’s First Hill neighborhood.
Augenstein says he’s excited to bring a full-service, family pharmacy back to Snoqualmie, where many of his family members (including his parents) live.
Ridge Pharmacy hopes to be open by May 19th. Store hours will be 9AM-7PM Monday-Friday and 10AM-2PM on Saturday.
Augenstein says they will evaluate expanding hours as they get a better feel for their customers’ needs.

New Restaurant Delivery Service
Snoqualmie residents wanting something besides pizza delivered for dinner now have a new ‘at-home/not cooking’ dining option.
In early March, Brunello Ristorante, 7708 Center Blvd in Snoqualmie, added delivery service for its home cooked Italian dishes.
Owner Tony Botchev says delivery is currently limited to Snoqualmie, but if the service is well-received and popular, they may expand their delivery area.
Delivery orders need to be placed on the Brunello website only, not via phone.
Brunello is open for lunch Monday-Friday, 11AM-2:30PM. Dinner is served Monday-Thursday, 4:30PM-9PM, Saturday and Sunday, 4:30PM-9:30PM.

If it’s the same Ray’s Dining Car that’s in PA, it looks like a yummy comfort food family place with breakfast too! We need more family friendly restaurants in town!
